Transportation Analyst

Pay: $26.00 - $44.00/hr (commensurate with experience)

Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM

As a Transportation Analyst, you'll manage weekly freight payment processing, investigate cost variances, and generate key logistics reports. You'll play a vital role in optimizing inbound and outbound shipping operations, supporting finance teams, and improving transportation data systems.

What You'll Do:

• Process weekly freight payment files and create check requests
• Investigate and resolve variances in vendor freight data (WebRes)
• Manage and report international/domestic accessorial charges
• Administer monthly Landed Cost (LDC) reports and update rates
• Analyze freight data using Access or SQL queries
• Assign GL accounts and maintain accurate freight billing records
• Provide ad hoc reporting and support finance/logistics leadership
• Act as SME on freight payment issues
• Provide backup support for truckload scheduling
• Participate in process improvement initiatives and complete annual training

What You'll Need:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• 4-5 years of experience in logistics or freight payment operations (automotive industry preferred)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel), Access, and SQL
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of freight billing, auditing, and carrier processes
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
