What you'll do

As a Logistics Program Analyst, you will help us integrate all facets of the customers' sustainment support activities. This opportunity is a unique and rewarding position combining aspects of field service, manufacturing, depot repair, customer support, and logistics management! This responsibility entails working in a dynamic environment driving contract scope and interfacing cross functionally. You will coordinate with all facets of logistics and support services across multiple Viasat locations to ensure seamless sustainment support is provided to the programs and customers.


The day-to-day

You will plan and implement all aspects of entering new markets, new program setup, spare parts logistics, repair activity, and aftermarket management in the United States and across the globe! Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and coordinating program support activities and global service parts logistics
  • Spearhead cross-functional projects to drive continuous improvement activities
  • Coordinating reverse logistics process flow across distribution channels
  • Determining optimum inventory levels and field stocking locations for network spares
  • Coordinate the creation and submission of program health reports and metrics
  • Manage and provide supplier scorecards and metrics for sustainment activities
  • Develop service contracts with procurement and ensure execution against service levels
  • Coordinating failure analysis, trends, and failure reporting
  • Reporting ongoing metrics on cost, performance, and internal/external customer satisfaction
  • Participating in corporate wide logistics, operations, and market entry strategy development
  • Supporting the Global Logistics, After Market Service, and Global Market Entry team management on projects and initiatives

Additional Information:

  • This position is located onsite. Viasat embraces a flexible work environment and onsite/hybrid work is determined by individual roles and teams. Relocation assistance is available pending eligibility.

What you'll need

Requirements:

  • Education: Completion of Bachelor's degree or higher in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain or related field

  • Experience: This role is intended for someone with 0-3 years of full-time, relevant industry experience

  • Additional:

    • Strong leadership, collaboration and facilitation skills
    • Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills
    • Strong oral and written communication skills
    • Excellent follow up and customer service skills
    • Advanced excel and database skills

What will help you on the job

  • Experience with continuous process improvement methodologies including 5S, lean, or six sigma
  • Experience with Monday.com, JIRA, or other work operating systems

Salary range

$57,000.00 - $90,500.00 / annually.
For specific work locations within San Jose, the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range for this role is $71,000.00- $107,000.00/ annually
