The R&D Engineering Co-op position is for our Product Engineering Group focused in the Commercialization Engineering or Process Engineering. The co-op will be assigned a mentor and at least one "real world" project to complete during their assignment.

The R&D Engineering Co-op position is for our Product Engineering Group focused in the Commercialization Engineering or Process Engineering. We are looking for innovative thinkers that are proven problem solvers. The co-op will be assigned a mentor and at least one "real world" project to complete during their assignment.

  • Initially the individual would be expected to become skilled at making and testing paint.
  • They would be responsible for assisting in optimizing formulations and processes through Design of Experiments and statistical analysis of the data.
  • Potential to work with Operations for site projects.
  • They will also be expected to participate in monthly and quarterly meetings presenting their work as needed.

This position is for a minimum of 6 months starting in May 2026 with the option of being extended to 12 months.

Minimum Requirements
*Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's Degree program in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry
*Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
*Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
*Must be willing to work up to 40 hours per week for 6 months, with or without reasonable accommodation
*Currently holding a minimum of 2.8 GPA

Preferred Qualifications
*Basic understanding of information technology infrastructure and computer platforms including Microsoft Office Suite
*Working knowledge of Minitab and Business Objects
*Be a rising or current sophomore, Junior or Senior in college or university at the start of the internship program
*Declared major of Chemical Engineering
*Currently holding a minimum 3.0 GPA
