Will be responsible for all lessons through the Children's Center which will primarily be children ages 3 to 6 years old. Essential Functions and Major Responsibilities: Responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the lesson program for Children's Center's group and private lessons. Assign daily lessons to coaches including paperwork and follow up of lessons. Supervise lesson coaches by assisting with staff schedules. Run daily operation reports to determine staffing requirements. Teach lessons including help dress skiers prior to heading on the snow Will work directly with Ski School for pre-season coach training. Will also be required to assist with all expected Childcare Attendant duties for ages 3-6 as needed. Refer to Childcare Attendant position duties for details. Secondary Responsibilities: Shovel snow Learning area set-up/tear-down Complete lesson records, incident reports and other required documentation in a timely manner Other duties as assigned Supervisory Responsibilities (if applicable): Number of employees supervised: __8__ Scheduling and assigning work- Yes Training- Yes Salary actions- None Disciplinary actions- Involved Performance review- Involved Hiring/Termination- None Specific Job Skills: License/Certifications - PSIA Certifications preferred, CPR/1st Aid Certification required (will help obtain) and rental technician certification (will help obtain). Technical - Proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools (Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams). Experience with Flaik, Siriusware or RTP preferred. Physical Capabilities - Employee must be capable of skiing in all types of terrain in varying and sometimes hazardous snow and weather conditions at an intermediate level. Must be capable of standing for long periods of time, in ski equipment. Must be capable of frequently or constantly balancing, reaching, squatting, bending, kneeling, stooping, handling and twisting. May require out of the ordinary skiing movements in order to assist children on the mountain. Must be capable of occasionally carrying, lifting, pushing or pulling up to 75bs. Additional - Excellent and professional verbal communication skills are necessary Ability to work in a team environment with a growth mindset and desire to collaborate, communicate and encourage. Willingness to continue personal development in the realms of people skills, teaching skills and technical skills Education/Related Experience: Minimum education required - Ability to communicate, read and write in English. Minimum time in related position - Previous experience working with Children preferred. Previous experience as a ski instructor required.
