Department OverviewThe Service Design Tools &Infrastructure team is a strategic component of Centralized Managed Support Operations (CMSO), responsible for providing exceptional Service Design & innovative technology solutions to enable and empower MSI Centralized Managed Support Operations to meet and exceed customers' expectations Job Description

The Data Scientist will:

  • Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets from core applications and technologies used within CMSO, including Salesforce and ServiceNow etc to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities

  • Develop predictive models and machine learning algorithms to solve business problems

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data needs and integrate insights into strategic recommendations

  • Communicate findings clearly through visualizations, dashboards, and reports

  • Stay updated on emerging tools, technologies, and methods in data science and AI

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Analysis & Insight Generation: Collect, clean, and analyze complex datasets from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies. Develop and apply statistical models and algorithms to generate actionable insights that inform business decisions.

  • Model Development: Design, build, and deploy predictive models and machine learning algorithms to solve business challenges, such as forecasting, customer segmentation, and fraud detection.

  • Data Visualization & Reporting: Create clear, compelling visualizations and reports to communicate findings and recommendations. Present complex data in an understandable format to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering, product management, and business teams to understand their needs, define key metrics, and support data-driven decision-making.

  • Problem-Solving: Proactively identify opportunities to use data to improve processes, products, and services. Troubleshoot and optimize existing models and data pipelines.

Preferred Qualification:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or related field

  • Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities

  • Solid knowledge of statistical modeling and machine learning frameworks

  • Strong proficiency in SQL Data Analytics tools

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with an ability to explain complex concepts clearly

  • Experience with customer support and operational procedures is a plus

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as in a team environment

  • Proven experience as a Data Scientist or in a similar role.

  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Matplotlib).

  • Solid understanding of statistical analysis, machine learning techniques, and experimental design.

Target Base Salary Range:$85,000-$120,000

    Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.

    Basic Requirements
    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related discipline.

    • 1-3 years of Data Scientist experience

    • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.
