About the Job

This position coordinates the education needs for the Minnesota Mobile Resuscitation
Consortium or mobile ECMO program of the Center for Resuscitation Medicine (CRM).
Position is a .50 FTE with flexible work schedule and location to be determined with candidate.
Operational Responsibilities
- Understands the mobile ECMO program development and progress.
- Critical thinking to develop protocols and documents for all aspects of the mobile ECMO
program, specifically SPEEDY ECMO.
- Development of learning objectives and curriculum for outreach for SPEEDY.
- Support ECPR SPEEDY awareness within the CRM and University of Minnesota
Cardiovascular Division and MHealth Fairview.
- Collaborate with the MMRC Executive Director to create opportunities to advance the
mobile ECMO program and schedule physician outreach as needed.

Clinical Operations (45%)
1. Provides administrative leadership support to the daily operations of SPEEDY and MMRC.
2. Collaborates with program director and physician leadership on program scope and objectives.
3. Creates and manages SPEEDY documentation. Tracks progress and communicate with trial partners as needed.
4. Maintain regulatory and/or standard operating procedures as needed.
5. Oversees staff orientation, and compliance with certifications, skills, and program needs.
6. Develops growth opportunities for VA ECMO through new development, expanded partnerships, and outreach.
7. Works with director to monitors budgets, creating annual updates and projections for growth.
8.Develops and maintains business plans related to expansion and growth.

Research Management and Project Development (45%)
1. Collaborates resuscitation research and oversees clinical projects.
2. Manage and oversee outreach with participating EMS agencies.
3. Develop and maintain response plan with EMS agencies and provide schedules as research plan develops.
4. Creates and delivers education to EMS agencies before, during, and after research project.
5. Create and maintain a feedback process for EMS and First responder agencies to ensure ongoing collaboration and awareness to project development.
6. Manages continuous project documentation. Tracks progress and communicate with stakeholders as needed.
7. Oversees the monitoring of program activities to assure objectives are met as set forth in the grant application and in contract agreements.
8. Develops and reviews progress updates and reports as required. Including development of new metrics in ongoing projects.

Clinical and Research Outreach (10%)
1. Develops letters, reports, power point presentations, and media for communication to partners, public, and University.
2. Develops, provides and coordinates resuscitation education opportunities for public awareness, first responders, EMS, and other healthcare providers.
3. Leads community outreach groups in translation of current resuscitation research to public.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree plus at least six years of relevant experience, or advanced degree plus at
least four years of relevant experience.
- Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Minnesota
- Experience in pre-hospital clinical care

Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters degree or Health certification
- Experience with pre-hospital education (fire, EMS, first responder)
- Experience in an academic, public safety, or medical environment
- Experience in emergency response for 5 years or more
- Demonstrated ability to work with and adapt to new technologies and processes without
significant direction
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with faculty and staff,
- Demonstrated experience and organization of general and day-to-day office processes
with the ability to work independently and multi-task

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $49.81/hour - $82.19/hour; depending on education/qualifications/experience

Time Appointment: 50% FTE Appointment
