Position Summary

The Advancement Officer for Discovery & Impact will have metrics that align with the UNC baseline standards for a Philanthropy Officer role. These metrics include conducting visits, completing qualifications, and submitting annual and major gift proposals (the starting expectation will be proposals in the five-figure range, in close collaboration with UNC Gillings teammates). This work may include securing corporate gifts and sponsorships for school events. The officer will oversee a portfolio of prospects and donors to accomplish this work.

The Advancement Officer for Discovery & Impact will use a comprehensive approach to relationship management, engaging with school leadership, faculty, staff, board members, and a network of key donors and prospects. Collaboration with development staff at UNC Gillings and across the UNC community will be critical for success.
