Job Description

Campus Facilities at the University of Missouri is seeking a dynamic and people-focused Recruiter to help us attract top talent to support the university's mission. Reporting to the Associate Director of Recruitment in the Recruitment Center of Excellence, the successful candidate will foster and maintain positive relationships with hiring managers, candidates, and the community.

The HR Recruitment Consultant will work in direct collaboration with the University Recruitment Center of Expertise (COE) that focuses on strategic talent acquisition. Key recruitment efforts performed by this position will include:

  • A focus on delivering efficient and results- driven recruitment outcomes in the areas of talent acquisition and onboarding
  • Developing and managing full-cycle recruitment services from HR to the various units/needs of the university
  • Performing active and passive candidate generation and branding/marketing efforts using recruitment tools and systems
  • Develop robust candidate pipelines for a variety of operational roles to include internships. Partner with leadership to promote and support career development programs and initiatives.
  • Participating in candidate screening, interviewing, and referencing

In addition, the successful candidate will partner with internal constituents across the division to understand strategic objectives and develop recruitment strategies that will meet current and future staffing needs. The individual will:

  • Contribute to recruitment process improvements, task forces, subsequent change management efforts, and help to implement new strategies for improved recruitment success for faculty and staff positions.
  • Author effective job announcements and execute the job posting process for internal mechanisms and external publications/websites.
  • Leverage recruiting resources (e.g., online, publications) and strategize search options to identify and attract highly qualified candidates; assist with spouse/partner recruitment and retention efforts.
  • Develop and maintain candidate pipelines for a variety of operational roles for both high volume recruiting areas and specialized technical roles.
  • Assist in coordinating the screening and selection activities of strategic recruitments including assessments, interviews, testing, reference checks, negotiating and extending offers of employment.
  • Stay current on recruitment trends and innovative techniques; develop ongoing creative and cost-effective sourcing strategies.
  • Conduct follow-up calls and quality improvement studies with hiring managers/teams and new hires to continually improve upon services and experience.
  • Maintain complete and accurate documentation of recruiting activities.
  • Serve as backup support for onboarding candidates and assist with developing and delivering HR related training programs for Operations.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in full cycle recruitment
  • Executed challenging recruitment activities in complex organizations
  • PHR or SPHR certification and/or SHRM - CP or SHRM - SCP certification
  • Possess a valid driver's license, which will allow legal operation of a motor vehicle in the State of Missouri
Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $62,000 - $72,000 annually

Grade: GGS-010
