Paid Time Off:

Eligible employees begin accruing PTO on their date of hire. PTO combines vacation and sick leave, starting at 15 days per year for full-time employees. UMC also follows Washington State Sick Leave guidelines, providing one hour of sick leave for every 40 hours worked.

Position Description

Starting Salary Range: $26 - $29/hour; depending on experience

Location: Lynnwood, WA

Classification: Non-Exempt

Must be eligible to work in the U.S. - Sponsorship not available

Position Overview:

Provide first level of support for computer users, ensure information is current, and provide installation, troubleshooting and training services as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Install hardware and components such as monitors, keyboards, printers, and disk drives.
  2. Computer hardware & software troubleshooting
  3. Computer upgrades such as hard drives & ram.
  4. System Imaging, load appropriate software packages (i.e., operating systems, networking components and office applications).
  5. Setup user accounts in Active Directory and Office 365
  6. Setup cell phones and desk phones
  7. License software packages to ensure compliance, asset tracking, and monitor inventory.
  8. Assist in the customization and adaptation of existing programs to meet user's requirements.
  9. Provide one-on-one computer/telephone support to employees in-house and on job sites.
  10. Connect users to networks and provide initial training in applications.
  11. Communicates project status, updates, and completion information to managers and/or users. Tracks support requests using help desk ticketing software.
  12. Create technical and end user documentation.
  13. Regular attendance and promptness are considered part of each employee's essential job functions.

Secondary Responsibilities:

  1. Back up IT Operations Supervisor's duties when needed.
Position Requirements

Required Skills and Abilities:

  1. Technical knowledge of Desktop hardware and operating systems
  2. Ability to troubleshoot network connectivity.
  3. Excellent oral and written communication skills
  4. Excellent interpersonal skills
  5. Exceptional customer-service orientation
  6. Ability to be receptive to new changes to software, procedures, and policies.
  7. Willing to work as a team and with other employees.

Supervisory Responsibility:

  1. None.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  1. 1 year of related work experience desired

Required Licensing and Other Certifications:

  1. Maintain a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
