What you'll be doing...

You will be the go-to expert for developing and delivering Dark Fiber / High Capacity solutions to help the biggest names in business operate faster and smarter. In partnership with senior IT and business executives, your primary focus will be to identify, develop, and architect end-to-end enterprise solutions, with a particular specialization in Dark Fiber Solutions.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Architecting specialized Dark Fiber solutions to support the capture of new business opportunities.

  • Acting as a trusted business partner, coordinating internal resources, and becoming the subject matter expert in Dark Fiber and Hyperscalers/Cloud Providers Networks.

  • Enabling customers to see what's possible by leveraging the speed and scale of Dark Fiber technology to make their businesses run better, faster, and smarter.

  • Understanding customer business challenges, goals, and environment, particularly related to their high-bandwidth and network infrastructure needs.

  • Designing the right package of solutions and services that incorporate internal and third-party suppliers, focusing on Dark Fiber connectivity, to meet the customer need.

  • Writing proposals and supporting the contracting process, ensuring that all technical, legal, and compliance needs are satisfied.

  • Ensuring the feasibility of the proposed solutions with the delivery and product teams.

  • Building and communicating the value proposition of these specialized solutions with client executives and key partners.

What we're looking for...

You are a technologist with a strong appreciation for how Dark Fiber and related networking technology can transform organizations. You are up-to-date on the latest technology trends and bring a broader business perspective to your work. You can convey complex ideas, such as high-capacity network design, in a straightforward manner and inspire people to think about new possibilities. You are a natural multi-tasker who thrives in a fast-paced environment and excels at collaborating with multiple functions and partners.

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Six or more years of relevant experience, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.

  • Strong, proven understanding of Dark Fiber and Hyperscalers/Cloud Providers Networks.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Master's degree in engineering, computer science or other technical discipline.

  • Proposed, sold, and/or implemented large complex enterprise-wide technology solutions to Fortune 500 companies (ideally with "big 5" consulting experience).

  • Specialization in Verizon AI Connect.

  • Demonstrated experience having sold, designed, or consulted on technical enterprise business solutions.

  • Experience designing and proposing Wireless / Wireline Solutions.

  • Experience designing IT and/or managed telecommunications solutions, ideally from concept development through implementation.

  • Experience with Cloud Connectivity Solutions and Major Players.

  • Experience with the development and implementation of one or more of the following: data and IP services (VoIP, MPLS, VPN, Internet), managed network services (LAN, WAN, content delivery, WLAN, managed IP PBX), or managed security solutions (firewall, proxy, VPN).

  • Built business cases incorporating cost analysis and ROI.

  • Project managed large scale complex enterprise-wide technology solutions.

The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is a commission based position with the potential to earn more. For part-time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours. The annual salary range for the location(s) listed on this job requisition based on a full-time schedule is: $124,500.00 - $239,000.00. The annual salary range for the Colorado location(s) listed on this job requisition based on a full-time schedule is: $124,500.00 - $239,000.00. The annual salary range for the New York location(s) listed on this job requisition based on a full-time schedule is: $124,500.00 - $217,000.00.
