Job Summary

The LA Program is currently recruiting for a part-time program assistant position to support the LA Program's operations and initiatives.

Hours are flexible and may increase if desired.

  • Duties include:
    Assist in the coordination of program functions and events.
  • Assist with developing and implementing program projects and schedules.
  • Collaborate with the team on projects and daily tasks.


Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma with three (3) years of experience or two (2) years of post-secondary education with one (1) year of experience; OR an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.



Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or relevant experience required.
  • Must not be a current student.
  • At least 3 semesters of FIU work experience or related experience outside the University with satisfactory or higher from prior student appointment.
  • Requires a letter of recommendation from one prior supervisor.
  • Requires prior completion of FIU Service Excellence training or completion within first 30 days.
  • Ability to work in a team setting.
  • Advanced proficiency of Microsoft Office Suites.
  • Ability to work independently
