Your Job

Koch Minerals & Trading is seeking a highly motivated Contract Analyst to join our team. This role will be based in Wichita, KS. The Contract Analyst works closely with credit, traders, operations, and accounting professionals within the Koch Minerals & Trading organization as well as external customers. The Contract Analyst manages, coordinates and processes the documentation associated with trading agreements.

Candidates for this role should possess strong critical thinking skills and have a demonstrable ability to not only solve problems, but also to help implement those solutions throughout the business. Ideal candidates will be detail-oriented with interest or experience in reviewing and negotiating legal documents. Candidates should be proactive, internally motivated, and willing to drive change in a fast-paced organization. The Contract Analyst will interact with a wide range of individuals; customer focus and strong written and verbal communication skills are key.

What You Will Do

  • Mitigate legal, credit, settlement and operational risk through careful generation and review of trade agreements
  • Provide timely research and follow-through on trade agreement issues
  • Understand and drive upstream and downstream process improvements
  • Share knowledge across the business and adhere to KM&T's Principle Based Management philosophy
  • Manage a wide range of value-added projects in a team-oriented atmosphere
  • Exercise full compliance with KM&T Trading Standards and work to strengthen KM&T's control environment

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Ability to provide assistance with global trading activity which may require after-hours, or US holiday hours in conjunction with global market closes

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or other business-related field
  • Experience in applying technology solutions such as PowerBI, Alteryx or generative AI tools for data visualization and automation
  • Knowledge of commodity trading and trading fundamentals
  • Legal or contract review experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
