ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with stakeholders to determine user requirements for a set of features. Contribute to the identification of dependencies and the development of design documents for a product area with minimal oversight. Create and implement code for products, services, or features, reusing code as applicable. Participate in efforts to break down larger work items into smaller tasks and provide estimations. Act as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI), working on-call to monitor systems, product features, or services for degradation, downtime, or interruptions, and gain approval to restore systems/products/services for simple issues. Stay current in skills by investing time and effort into keeping abreast of developments that improve the availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance of products, while driving consistency in monitoring and operations at scale. Build design, code, and deployment with security built in as default. Drive detailed design and implementation based on functional requirements. Be a key contributor to delivering high-quality, highly available services that meet customer SLAs globally. Drive improvements for systems and engineering processes with simplicity and maintainability as core tenets. Deliver value through a collaborative approach spanning multiple teams across geographies. Be a role model for an open, honest, and inclusive approach to problem-solving. Leverage subject-matter expertise of product features and partner with stakeholders (e.g., project managers) to drive project plans, release plans, and work items for the workgroup. Support and influence the team culture towards customer-centricity and continuous improvement. Implement practices that ensure accurate, safe, and efficient releases for our services. Leverage sound engineering practices and principles.
