Senior IS Business Analyst

Your Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you will work as Senior IS Business Analyst and report to the Consumer Insights Program Manager. You will bridge the gap between business needs and the technology ecosystem within the Core IS organization, leading the end-to-end business analysis activities -- from requirement gathering, analysis, and documentation to delivery and adoption - to ensure initiatives align with business objectives. You will also play an active role in defining project scope and deliverables, supporting planning, tracking progress, managing change, and ensuring that deliverables meet stakeholder expectations.

In this role, you'll help run what runs the world, by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact. You'll be mainly accountable for:

• Guiding your department's teams by leading business analysis activities as part of the Consumer Insights (CIN) Program Management team, supporting the full lifecycle of solutions and enhancements.

• Selecting, adopting, and adapting appropriate business analysis methods, tools, and techniques to drive end-to-end delivery of stakeholder requirements through clear specifications, ensuring timely delivery using best practices (e.g. UAT).

• Applying and promoting agile methodologies, best practices and innovation across Consumer Insights.

• Collaborating on CIN demand management, lead prioritization activities in alignment with management.

• Maintaining the Consumer Insights roadmap with the leadership team and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver value-driven solutions aligned with the Consumer Experience targets & vision.

• Collaborating with CIN Service Owners in cost/effort estimates of solutions, service, process improvements.

• Ensuring all work within CIN follows ABB Regulations, Guidelines, Values and Internal Control regulations that may be required.

Qualifications for the Role

• Bachelor/master's degree in technical discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems).

• 5+ years of relevant experience in Business Analysis, preferably in IT, Engineering or related industry, with a proven ability to guide and support multiple teams.

• 5+ years working in both Agile and Predictive environments; SCRUM certification is a plus.

• Excellent communication and leadership skills with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and a mindset for innovation and continuous improvement.

• Familiar with AI technologies like Large Language Models, Machine Learning or Data Science is a strong plus.

• Knowledge of ETL processes and/or programming languages such as SQL, Python, or MATLAB is a plus.

• ITIL 4 Foundation certification is desirable; experience with IT Service Management applications (e.g., ServiceNow) and familiarity with project management principles are advantageous.
