Posting Summary
The Department of Plant Biology at the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences invites applicants for Lecturer positions at New Brunswick/Cook Campus for Spring 2026. The positions will be responsible for teaching two courses in the fields of Plant Physiology and Plants & Human Health. Demonstrated background knowledge in these fields is required, and teaching experience at the undergraduate level, including laboratory instruction, is preferred.
The successful incumbent will report to the Undergraduate Program in Plant Science and Department Chair, and will be required to administer and instruct the course, including a laboratory component that corresponds with lecture material in plant physiology. Both courses are anticipated to be offered in-person.

Minimum Education and Experience
PhD in related field is preferred; MS is required. Demonstrated knowledge or expertise in plant physiology and plants & human health, and prior teaching experience are required.

Equipment Utilized
Knowledge and experience using laboratory equipment associated with
plant physiology experiments is preferred.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Overview
Plant Physiology represents requirements within the Plant Science undergraduate major. Plants & Human Health is also a requirement for the Medicinal and Economic Botany minor and certificate programs. Therefore, instruction of both courses is essential.
