We're seeking an Engagement Director in Harrisburg in Public Sector to help us take vision to value and create lasting impact.
SUMMARY
The Engagement Director will lead our Pennsylvania public sector practice with primary focus on the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission relationship and expansion into additional state agencies. The ideal candidate will combine strong client relationship management skills with public sector expertise to drive growth and deliver exceptional value to our government clients.
YOU WILL:
Serve as the primary client executive for the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission account, maintaining high client satisfaction and expanding service offerings.
Lead business development efforts to grow North Highland's presence across Pennsylvania state government agencies and authorities.
Oversee delivery of multiple concurrent engagements, ensuring quality, timeliness, and client satisfaction.
Build and manage high-performing consulting teams of 5-25 professionals.
Develop and execute a comprehensive account strategy for the State of Pennsylvania.
Monitor account performance, client satisfaction, and project delivery.
Resolve escalated issues and ensure client expectations are consistently met or exceeded.
Navigate complex state procurement processes to secure new business opportunities.
Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers across Pennsylvania state government.
Collaborate with practice, industry and market leaders to bring the right solutions to client challenges.
Contribute to thought leadership and market positioning for North Highland in the public sector space.
Provide thought leadership and strategic guidance to state executives on industry trends, best practices, and innovative solutions.
IDEALLY, WE'D LIKE:
Bachelor's degree required; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
12+ years of professional services experience with at least 5 years focused on public sector clients.
Proven track record of client relationship management and account growth.
Experience leading teams and managing complex, multi-workstream engagements.
Demonstrated success in business development and navigating government procurement processes.
Strong understanding of public sector operations, challenges, and transformation opportunities.
Excellent communication skills with ability to engage effectively at all levels of client organizations.
Experience with public sector technology implementations and organizational change initiatives
Bring established relationships with Pennsylvania state government officials and familiarity with Pennsylvania state government structure, political landscape, strategic priorities and procurement processes.
Experience with transportation agencies or systems (knowledge of tolling systems beneficial).
Background in public sector technology modernization or digital transformation.
Experience with federal funding mechanisms that impact state programs.
Ability to build trusted advisor relationships with senior government officials.
Anticipate the state's future needs and proactively position our capabilities.
