Job Title: Operations Consultant - I
Location: New York, NY (Hybrid)
Job Description:
Role Overview:
The Operations Support role is a full-time position within the Business Solutions Department (BSD), Group Employee Benefits products (Group Term Life, Short Term Disability, Long-Term Disability). This role plays a critical part in servicing proposals, managing documentation, and ensuring timely and accurate processing of agent materials. It requires strong collaboration with internal and external partners and adherence to strict service timelines.
Key Responsibilities:


  • Support daily operations using Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce.
  • Manage and track Request for Proposals (RFPs) for Underwriting teams:

    • Verify agent licensing and compliance.
    • Follow up on missing paperwork and ensure complete submissions.
    • Coordinate installation paperwork with servicing centers.


  • Respond to agent inquiries via business email inbox.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service across teams and partners.
  • Assist with special projects and meet time-sensitive deadlines.




Required Skills:


  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and SharePoint.
  • Detail oriented, work independently, but is proactive with questions and collaborate with others to solve problems.
  • Worked in an office environment (preferred).




Required Qualifications:


  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree (or equivalent service experience).
  • Experience in Life Insurance or Financial Services preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and SharePoint.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce and web-based tracking tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask effectively.
  • High sense of urgency and proactive problem-solving mindset.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with others.




Preferred Qualifications:


  • Overqualified candidates (e.g., MBA holders).
