Scope:

This role will inspect, modify, and contribute to the initial manufacturing process of building printed circuit boards based upon customer requirements and data files. It is imperative that all specifications for new and repeat PCB orders are adequately reviewed and inspected to ensure customer requirements are properly flowed down to production from all team members. Verify and modify design specifications through the use of company defined checklists, timelines and policies and ensuring accurate tools are being produced. Will work closely with customers, CAM operators, planners, process engineers, sales teams, and production teams to ensure specific requirements of customers will be accurately met. The role may lead and provide technical support to others.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Use CAM (Genesis Software) / Planning tools to perform design rule scrutiny of printed circuit boards
  • Ability to review DRC evaluation reports and verify discrepancies between customer specifications and PCB design image for production
  • Report discrepancies to Customers / CAM department and communicating deviations
  • Modify traveler routings and part attribution in part maintenance to ensure customer design requirements are met
  • Complete required buddy check paperwork, provided detailed feedback on any corrections required and review processes and systems for opportunities to improve the tooling process
  • Monitor planning processes to ensure we are on track and meeting release dates
  • Accurately complete DFM paperwork
  • Verify all design and special notes are implemented on traveler
  • Resolve any and all design issues immediately as they arise
  • Communicate with process engineering, planning, sales team and customers regarding any and all specifications or issues which arise
  • Complete all internal department documentation accurately

Essential Knowledge and Skills:

  • Proficient knowledge of Genesis 2000
  • Strong application and working knowledge of PCB features with proficiency with CAM in preparing computer files for manufacturing tooling
  • Ability to interpret IPC and customer supplied specifications
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English to the degree necessary to perform the job

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Two to five years of experience with CAM / Planning in manufacturing or related field
  • Experience in Printed Circuit Board industry a plus

Compensation for roles at TTM Technologies varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. As required by local law, TTM provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that my be hired in New York, California and Colorado. For California-based roles, compensation ranges are based upon specific physical locations.
