We are seeking a driven Engineer II to join our Site/Civil team in Georgia and contribute to the design and delivery of DOT and infrastructure projects.

As an Engineer II - Site/Civil you will:

  • Support design of site, roadway and civil infrastructure projects (grading, drainage, paving, utilities, retaining walls, stormwater management) for GDOT and local clients.

  • Produce engineering drawings, technical specifications, and construction documents using software tools such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation/OpenRoads, or equivalent.

  • Perform quantity take-offs, cost estimates (site/civil components), and assist with bid packages and submittals.

  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (structural, environmental, traffic, survey) and interface with GDOT design standards, specifications and submittal processes.

  • Participate in field visits, site assessments, data collection (topographic/utility surveys), and support preparation of design alternatives.

  • Ensure deliverables meet project schedule, budget, quality standards and applicable regulatory requirements (including GDOT standards).

  • Mentor less-experienced engineers or technicians, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.

  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in site/civil or transportation infrastructure design (experience with DOT or site development preferred).

  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required; progress toward Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensure preferred.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, or MicroStation/OpenRoads, along with Microsoft Office suite.

  • Familiarity with grading design, stormwater drainage/hydrology, utility layout, erosion & sediment control, and pavement design principles.

  • Knowledge of GDOT standards and specifications and familiarity with transportation/roadway civil design is a plus.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to prepare design documentation and collaborate with clients, contractors and internal teams.

  • Self-motivated, able to work both independently and as part of a team, and eager to grow technically and professionally.

Compensation Range:

$85,226.60 - $113,635.46
