Job Summary

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for accurately processing, organizing, and maintaining inventory while ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards. This position involves barcoding, filing, and handling boxes and files, operating material-handling equipment such as picker forklifts, and performing pickups and deliveries. The Warehouse Associate must demonstrate a strong commitment to accuracy, safety, and quality while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to company policies and Occupational Health and Safety regulations.

Job Responsibilities




  • Barcode and process new boxes and files according to established procedures.



  • Pull and manage access lists, refiling boxes and files as needed.



  • Barcode and process boxes scheduled for destruction following proper documentation protocols.



  • Perform bay consolidations and ensure optimal use of warehouse space.



  • Operate a picker forklift, cherry picker, or other company equipment safely and efficiently.



  • Conduct pre-operation safety checks on all equipment, including batteries, brakes, lift controls, and fire extinguishers.



  • Safely pull, load, move, and transport boxes within the warehouse.



  • Perform routine warehouse maintenance to ensure a clean and organized environment.



  • Make pickups and deliveries as assigned using company vehicles.



  • Return all equipment to the correct charging station at the end of each shift and ensure it is properly prepared for overnight charging.



  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all company security policies.



  • Perform additional duties as assigned.




Job Requirements




  • Strong commitment to accuracy, quality, and safety in all tasks.



  • Ability to lift and move boxes weighing 40-50 pounds continuously throughout the workday.



  • Willingness to perform tasks at significant heights (12-14 feet).



  • Proficiency in using handheld computers, electric pickers, vans, and bob trucks.



  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to process challenges.



  • Good hand-eye coordination and motor skills.



  • Ability to work effectively under time constraints and meet productivity standards.



  • Willingness to follow established procedures while offering constructive process improvement suggestions.



  • Flexibility to work varying hours, assignments, and overtime as needed.



  • Dependable, reliable, and capable of operating equipment safely and sensibly.



  • Strong customer service orientation and attention to detail.



  • Self-motivated and able to work independently while maintaining accountability for productivity, accuracy, and timeliness.




Education




  • High school diploma or equivalent required.




Work Experience




  • Previous warehouse or material-handling experience preferred.



  • Experience operating powered industrial trucks (PIT), forklifts, or similar equipment a plus.




Additional Job Details




  • Must comply with all Occupational Health and Safety regulations, transportation laws, and company safety policies.



  • May be required to operate company equipment and vehicles in accordance with all applicable guidelines.
