Job Summary

The Welder is responsible for performing precision welding and related operations on small aerospace components. This role involves operating semi-automated welding machines, conducting TIG and EB welding, and maintaining tooling and equipment to ensure high-quality production standards. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining quality and safety standards in a regulated aerospace environment.

Job Responsibilities




  • Operate semi-automated welding machines for precision component manufacturing.



  • Perform TIG and EB welding operations on small aerospace parts.



  • Assemble, set up, and maintain tooling and fixtures.



  • Conduct leak testing operations and maintain accurate quality records.



  • Operate heat treat and furnace brazing equipment as required.



  • Perform spot welding, tinning, and drilling of housings.



  • Ensure all work meets quality, safety, and compliance standards, including ITAR requirements.



  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.



  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support production operations.




Job Requirements




  • High school diploma or equivalent required.



  • Minimum of 1 year of machinist and/or welding experience.



  • Ability to qualify to AWS D17.1 welding standards.



  • Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds.



  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.



  • This position requires access to information or hardware subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR); candidates must meet ITAR requirements as a U.S. person (U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee).




Education




  • High school diploma or GED required.




Work Experience




  • At least 1 year of relevant welding or machining experience, preferably in aerospace or precision manufacturing environments.
