Moog Medical Devices Group is looking for a Site Controller.

You will be responsible for financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, and works closely with managers across departments for strategic planning. You will have a strong background in accounting and finance, excellent analytical skills, and proven experience in managing financial teams. You will have a hybrid work schedule in Salt Lake City, Utah.

As a Site Controller, your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead and manage the finance and accounting team, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with US GAAP, along with detailed analysis of operating results.

  • Analysis of operating results and explanations/suggestions for improvement

  • Maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations

  • Develop, analyze, and evaluate overhead rates to support accurate cost accounting and effective inventory control, ensuring alignment with operational activities and financial reporting standards.

  • Provide leadership, supervision, and professional development for accounting and finance staff, fostering a high-performance team culture focused on accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.

  • Collaborate with management team to develop financial strategies and monitor KPIs

  • Support management by contributing to special projects and initiatives as needed, providing financial expertise and ensuring timely completion.

  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with employees across other sites, as well as with external and internal auditors.

  • Reconcile and review general ledger accounts against subsidiary reports, analyze trends, and investigate variances from budget or plan to provide actionable financial insights.

  • Oversee ERP and financial systems implementation and improvements

To be considered for the Site Controller, here are the skills you'll bring with you:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required; Master's degree preferred.

  • Minimum eight (8) years of experience in financial reporting and cost accounting; a strong background in a manufacturing environment preferred.

  • Minimum of five (5) years of recent experience leading or managing a finance and/or accounting department.

  • Strong understanding of internal controls and management reporting, including the ability to design, implement, and monitor control processes to ensure data integrity and informed decision-making.

  • High attention to detail and strong problem-solving ability, with a track record of identifying discrepancies, analyzing root causes, and implementing effective solutions in fast-paced environments.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and department heads.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor, motivate, and develop staff.

  • Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, reverse engineering formulas, etc.), with strong skills in Word and PowerPoint for reporting and presentations.

  • Experience with manufacturing cost structures, inventory management, and production-related financial analysis, preferred

  • CPA or CMA, preferred

Salary Range Transparency:

Salt Lake City, UT $125,000.00-$175,000.00 Annually

Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
