JOB PURPOSE
The Systems Engineer will support engineering services contract. In this position one will be required to multi-task across multiple active tasks simultaneously with primary focus on direct support to the program task leads.
JOB RESPONSIBILITY SUMMARY
* Should have strong leadership, system engineering, and design skills.
* Experience with commercial and militarized documentation and configuration management.
* Proficiency using AutoCAD software.
* Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Project essential.
* Exceptional presentation, oral and written communications skills required.
* Have excellent eye for detail to review and produce Technical Data Packages.
* Ability to operate effectively in a team environment, willing to mentor and motivate junior staff, able to take direction and constructive criticism.
* Familiarity with MIL-STD Environmental testing (901, 167, 810...).
* Focused toward COTS integration for military communications systems.
* Lead design team to perform, prepare, review, analyze, and modify system designs, technical documents and data packages for COTS based military equipment to ensure customer requirements are satisfied.
* Perform trade studies and participate in equipment selection.
* Generate and review system hardware documentation.
* Participate in integrated product teams and engineering/design reviews.
* Other Duties as assigned.

  • Job Located at U.S. Government Facility
  • This position requires a U.S. Government DoD granted security clearance/eligibility at the final Secret level. Individual must be able to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance/eligibility for employment


Preferred:


  • Bachelors in EE, ME,CE,CS,TM, IS,IRM,IT, Physics or other related field; or Master's


Degree in related fields.



Required:


  • Strong technical, managerial, interpersonal, written and verbal skills are a must.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a team environment as well as independently and provide direct interface with customers.
  • Must have strong task delegation, multitasking, and time management skills.
  • Ability to establish a credible relationship with customers and sponsors is essential as this position requires daily customer interaction.



Preferred:


  • 9 - 12 years recent Navy C4I or other relevant experience in large system design, testing, installation, and analysis, using ILS data and risk/trade-off analysis of several systems.
  • Senior project management experience for planning, scheduling and execution of large programs is a plus.
