Job Description:

We're seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician in Cedar Rapids to help operate and maintain some of the most essential environments in our portfolio. In this role, you're not just performing maintenance. You'll handle day-to-day operations, preventative maintenance, and on-call support across a portfolio where uptime, compliance, and quality are paramount.

You will work onsite with the engineering staff (all capacities), property management and tenants to provide excellent customer service.

Some things you can expect to do:

  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance, general repairs and housekeeping duties.
  • Make adjustments to building systems, equipment and fixtures under the guidance of the lead/chief engineer.
  • Replace lamps as required in a timely manner
  • Perform plumbing repairs, door hardware maintenance and repair o Painting as directed
  • Maintain and repair irrigation systems
  • Police property/building grounds, public areas, parking lots, roof; remove debris on a daily basis; perform seasonal outside duties as required.
  • Maintain mechanical rooms, utility rooms and vacant areas in a neat and clean condition
  • Complete work orders as assigned on a daily/weekly basis o Participate in on-call, after-hours and weekend rotation
  • Complete all tasks and projects assigned

Job Requirements:

  • Must have general maintenance aptitude
  • Must have High School Degree or equivalent
  • Basic computer skills required
  • Positive, helpful attitude at all times when interacting with building occupants Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work well and efficiently on a team o Excellent customer service skills

The base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills and abilities.
