Technical Writer- Customer Content Strategist 100% remote
We are seeking a highly motivated Content Strategist to join the growing Customer Experience (CX) team in CIO Services. This role will be a key player in shaping communications around new AI tools and initiatives-ensuring employees are informed, trained, and engaged as these technologies roll out.
Role Summary
The Content Strategist will combine strategic and tactical communications to articulate the CIO vision, increase awareness of key AI initiatives, and drive engagement across the enterprise. Reporting to the Content Strategy Team Lead, this role partners across CIO Services to deliver user-centered content in support of digital transformation and change management.
This is a full-time telework position available from any U.S.-based location. Citizenship requirement: U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead communications strategy and execution for the rollout of new AI tools, including training programs, blog posts, intranet updates, email campaigns, FAQs, and quick reference guides.
- Develop clear, concise, and compelling content that translates technical concepts into user-friendly communications and learning materials.
- Create and deliver training resources such as slide decks, how-to videos, knowledge articles, tip sheets, and interactive demos to support adoption.
- Partner with training teams and subject matter experts to build onboarding and refresher content tailored to different employee audiences.
- Manage written, visual, and multimedia content across internal channels to ensure consistent messaging.
- Maintain content governance by establishing processes, templates, and guidelines to support scalability.
- Ensure compliance with accessibility standards (Section 508 and WCAG) across all communications and training assets.
- Manage intranet sites, learning hubs, and other digital repositories to provide employees with centralized, self-service resources.
- Provide communications support for internal events, town halls, and training sessions, including invitations, reminders, facilitator guides, and follow-up materials.
- Review, revise, and edit content to ensure accuracy, grammar, punctuation, tone, and alignment with AP style and organizational voice.
- Collect, analyze, and synthesize feedback, metrics, and analytics to measure effectiveness and continuously improve communications and training resources.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency.
- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of professional communications experience, including internal and executive communications.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating ability to simplify complex or technical concepts for broad audiences.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and make decisions independently.
- Experience with change management communications and employee engagement.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards (Section 508, WCAG).
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in content strategy, UX writing, or technical communications.
- Experience with AI-related technologies or emerging digital tools.
- Knowledge of content management systems (e.g., SharePoint/Prism).
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to thrive in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment.
