What We're Looking For

We're seeking a Project Manager to oversee and coordinate organizational initiatives across the company. This individual will be responsible for managing multiple concurrent projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with Ceres' strategic goals.

The ideal candidate combines strong organizational skills and an ability to work collaboratively across departments to deliver effective solutions. They should have proven experience working with and coordinating across multiple functional teams, including accounting, finance, operations, and other business units, to ensure seamless project execution. This role requires the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and to align project initiatives with broader organizational priorities.

Role Impact & Collaboration

This Project Manager position is pivotal in supporting Ceres' broader technology and business priorities, particularly around ERP and process integration. The person in this role will:



  • Lead technology-driven business projects, including accounting transformation, executive dashboard creation, bids and proposals database development, ERP specification for new subsidiaries, and AI initiatives.
  • Define functional and technical requirements, evaluate software options, and specify new system needs.
  • Document business processes and procedures, collaborate with developers to implement new systems, and ensure thorough documentation and testing.
  • Assist with data completion and cleanup to ensure accurate and reliable information across systems.
  • Focus on implementation, optimization, and ongoing systems management.
  • Collaborate extensively with operations, accounting, finance, and other departments to gather requirements, align priorities, and ensure project outcomes meet business needs.
  • Candidates should have managed complex project portfolios, ideally with backgrounds in finance, accounting, change management, and experience in operations, distribution, or construction.
  • Success requires experience with ERP/CRM systems, expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio, PowerPoint, MS Planner, Teams), proficiency with SharePoint, and excellent written and oral communication skills. Change management and the ability to coordinate diverse stakeholders are essential.
  • Expect up to 10% travel as needed for project delivery and stakeholder engagement.
  • Success in the first year will be measured by customer satisfaction with project completion.



What You'll Bring



  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Project Management, or related field
  • Master's degree (preferred but not required).
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of management or coordination experience.
  • Proven project planning and scheduling skills, including the ability to balance competing priorities across multiple projects.
  • Experience collaborating across functional departments such as accounting, finance, and operations.
  • Working knowledge of general accounting principles (AR, AP, budgeting, and financial tracking) to effectively align project activities with financial processes.
  • Experience in disaster recovery operations, emergency management, or related high-response environments (preferred).
  • Familiarity with construction or infrastructure project workflows and field coordination (preferred).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Teams.
  • Experience with documentation management and project management tools.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines in dynamic environments.
  • Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Team-oriented mindset and ability to collaborate across departments.

What You Will Do



  • Project Leadership & Coordination: Serve as the main point of contact for organizational projects, defining requirements, scope, and timelines while ensuring project objectives are achieved.
  • Change Management: Lead change management efforts to support smooth implementation of process improvements.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with internal stakeholders to gather requirements, define priorities, and ensure project alignment with organizational goals.
  • Resource Management: Manage project resources, schedules, and deliverables to maintain efficient operations.
  • Training & Documentation: Develop and deliver training materials, maintain detailed project documentation, and manage records.
  • Monitoring & Reporting: Track progress, monitor budgets, resolve project issues, and report project status to management.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Collect, analyze, and interpret data to support decision-making and reporting needs.
  • Vendor Management: Oversee vendor relationships, review invoices, negotiate terms, and ensure cost-effective solutions.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify process improvement opportunities and implement strategies to enhance team efficiency and service quality.

This is a full-time, on-site position based at our Houston office. Candidates must be able to work in the office Monday through Friday.
