Job Summary
Coordinates project schedule, assignments, staffing, and activities under the direction of the SIS Program/Project Manager to achieve the project scope and timeline established by the project sponsors and the project Steering Committee.

  • Maintain key project documents and processes, including:

    • Project Plan
    • Project Schedule
    • Testing and quality control plan/schedule
    • Risk management plan and risk register
    • Training plan/schedule
    • Change control process
    • Project templates, forms, and SharePoint/document storage locations
    • Signoff documents and lesson learned
    • Other tools and templates as needed
    • Collect, assemble, and publish project status reports



  • Coordinate and facilitate communication and meetings among all project team members. Manage expectations of project stakeholders. Facilitate project communication, execution, and delivery of approved scope within the expected timeline and budget approved by the project Steering Committee. Organize and facilitate meetings needed to accomplishing project objectives.
  • Coordinate team member assignments, schedules, status reporting, and adherence to the project's management methodology in coordination with the program/project manager. Coordinate schedules and meetings with project leads.
  • Provide direction to the project team to execute the project according to the project plan.
  • Coordinates cutover and delivery of project deliverables and systems. Inspect project deliverables and ensure they meet acceptable quality standards. Hold team members accountable for achieving project results.
  • Manage and promote team project and team morale, focus, and enthusiasm. Resolve conflicts individual needs and requirements of the project. Mentor and coach team members as needed.
  • Maintain project SharePoint site

Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree or associate's degree and 2 years of related experience or high school diploma and 4 years of related experience.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or associate's degree and 2 years of related experience or high school diploma and 4 years of related experience.


And

  • 3 years of experience in a project coordinator type role
  • Expert in the use of Microsoft Project (minimum 2013, preferred 2016)
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office products, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio
  • Experienced in the use of Microsoft Teams or other collaboration tool to interact with remote team members
  • Possess 2+ years' experience working on PeopleSoft FMS and/or HCM implementations and/or upgrades
  • Working towards a PMI certification is a plus. Certified as a CAPM is preferred, but not required.

To the extent this position requires the holder to research, work on, or have access to critical infrastructure as defined in Section 117.001(2) of the Texas Business and Commerce Code, the ability to maintain the security or integrity of the critical infrastructure is a minimum qualification to be hired and to continue to be employed in the position.

  • Experienced in presenting and interacting with both IT and business staff
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate a project team of 30-40 members
  • Strong personal effectiveness skills (analysis, facilitation, decision-making, time management) and interpersonal skills (communication, leadership, teamwork)
  • Ability to adapt to change while simultaneously maintaining focus on objectives and envisioning the big picture
  • Ability to make decisions, clarify project team roles and responsibilities, delegate tasks to individuals and hold them accountable, and provide performance and status feedback
  • Ability to mitigate project risk and exploit project opportunities within the scope, budget, and timeline of the project

  • Position location will be discussed during the interview process.
  • Location can be Fort Worth, TX or Richardson, TX.
  • Hybrid remote work environment available. A UT Dallas Remote Work Agreement is required upon employment.
  • Must have the ability to be on Richardson campus within 48 hours of notice.
