What does a Director, Engineering Supply Chain do at Swire Coca-Cola? The Director, Engineering Supply Chain provides strategic leadership in plant/process engineering and maintenance across all Swire production facilities. This role ensures that all production equipment, lines, and systems operate at peak efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. The Director drives capital investments, oversees critical technical functions, and champions continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational excellence and sustainability.
Responsibilities:
- Lead capital improvement and capital maintenance projects, including equipment replacement, new product/package introductions, and capacity expansions within Supply Chain. Develop and oversee the annual capital budget, ensuring alignment with business goals and compliance with fixed asset accounting practices.
- Provide leadership for project engineers, maintenance managers, plant controls specialists, and line control specialists. Build Engineering and Maintenance Excellence capability, processes and governance. This would include spare parts management, equipment overhauls and service partnerships with OEMs.
- Guide the creation and maintenance of documentation, processes and procedures to comply with all maintenance standards requirements and any other industry/regulatory requirements for manufacturing equipment maintenance.
- Lead IWS Pillar initiatives, providing direct and indirect leadership in IM, PM, and LE pillars to drive reliability, efficiency, and performance improvements.
- Direct Controls Engineering, including LIS, OT network design/maintenance/security, MIS connectivity, digitization initiatives (DDS boards, Smartskin drones, etc.).
- Establish and maintain a strong association with The Coca-Cola Company/CCNA and Coca-Cola bottlers in order to effectively learn best practices, provide guidance/counsel where appropriate and be aware of changing trends and requirements.
- Develop and implement a digital, automation and controls strategy for Manufacturing operations.
- Understand and ensure SCCUS Sustainability policies and SD2030 commitments are incorporated in the long term infrastructure plans. Proactively identify initiatives to support meeting our long term objectives on carbon emission reduction, energy efficiency and water use.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or equivalent) required
- Master's Degree in Engineering (or equivalent) preferred
- 10+ years leadership experience in Engineering and/or Operations Management, preferably in a multi-site and multi-national company environment. required
- Understanding of plant production systems and equipment, including electrical, plumbing, water treatment, mechanical, automation and controls
- Understanding of warehouse, office and civil construction and maintenance
- Knowledge of industry maintenance standards for manufacturing of food grade products
- Knowledge of state and local standards and requirements for water quality and raw materials for food grade production.
