We are seeking a skilled and motivated Joint Knowledge Online (JKO) Services Specialist to join the JKO Knowledge Services team at the U.S. Joint Staff J7 complex. This role is essential in supporting the development, coordination, and management of JKO content, capabilities, and training. JKO is the Department of Defense's primary online platform providing joint training and education to military personnel, interagency partners, and multinational allies worldwide. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Support and manage the development and maintenance of online training content, including courses, videos, and other learning tools, ensuring quality and accessibility.
- Coordinate content development activities with government and JKO teams to meet evolving training needs.
- Assist with delivery of online joint education 24/7 to improve operational readiness across the joint enterprise.
- Track, report, and assess training enrollment, progress, completion, and outcomes to measure individual and staff proficiency.
- Provide technical and customer support through the JKO Help Desk, resolving user issues related to training access and content.
- Facilitate scenario-based training events and support joint exercise requirements.
- Develop reports on JKO usage, including user data and help desk activity, and propose improvements based on trends.
- Maintain and administer JKO Learning Management System (LMS) and associated tools, including installing updates, troubleshooting, and ensuring compliance with security and accessibility standards.
- Support integration and innovation efforts to improve training delivery, including advanced multimedia, micro-learning, and synchronous/asynchronous education methods.
- Collaborate with multiple DoD agencies, combatant commands, and partners to align training priorities and resources.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Experience working within the Department of Defense or a similar joint environment involving multiple military branches or government partners.
- Understanding of education, training methodologies, and instructional system design, particularly for web-based learning.
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems and platforms like JKO or similar, including content development, delivery, and reporting functions.
- Strong technical skills to support LMS administration, course building, and help desk operations.
- Knowledge of programming, planning, budgeting, and DoD policies related to education and training is preferred.
- Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally, with solid customer service skills.
- Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Must sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) due to access to sensitive government information.
- Ability to work flexible hours to support 24/7 training operations and occasional surge support.
- Ability to obtain a company travel card.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT: Active TS/SCI PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Physical requirements may include, but are not limited to, lifting, ascending, and descending stairs, climbing, extended sitting or standing, to various degrees.
