What you'll do

The candidate will drive the overall development and execution of current programs for Viasat's BizAv line of business to ensure continued leadership in this market sector. The individual will be responsible for consolidating requirements and coordinating input to the product & GSN team for multiple related service and hardware products for Ka-band L-band and Ku-band including service sunset & terminal migration. The individual will also work with the CX/UX team for service updates and modifications including supporting products including internal and external tools for monitoring and troubleshooting and equivalent APIs. This role will have scope for all types of aircraft inthe range of business aviation & general aviation OEMs, including Boeing Business Jets, Airbus Corporate Jets, Gulfstream, Bombardier, Dassault, Embraer, Textron, and all BizAV OEMs.


The day-to-day

  • The individual will be responsible to define metrics for performance and processes and mechanisms for tracking against those metrics as well as influencing senior discussions with Viasat personnel outside of BizAv (including both centralized and Aviation teammates) on resolving underperformance against those metrics
  • Gather input from the BizAv OEM and Partner team as well as the broader BizAv market stakeholders for relevant efforts
  • Determining and evaluating trade-offs between technical solutions for aircraft networks
  • Developing and presenting network modification proposals to colleagues and executives to enhance service for current & future aircraft
  • Communicating service & terminals program updates to OEM and Partner teams

What you'll need

  • Able to translate technical documentation for business consumption and understanding
  • Experience in building integrated schedules
  • Values relationships with other team members
  • Candidate should be self-motivated and demonstrate a drive to build and manage relationships
  • Excels at using data to inform decisions
  • Adept at identifying trends and optimizing product performance
  • Possesses excellent organizational skills and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Sensitive to the needs of customers while managing expectations of internal
  • Five (5) years of experience in mobile connectivity including airborne customers
  • 10+ years of experience and a Bachelors of Science in Engineering or related field
  • Experience with a multitude of Viasat products and services
  • Demonstrated experience in program and risk management
  • Demonstrated experience introducing/launching product offerings

Salary range

$167,500.00 - $264,500.00 / annually.
For specific work locations within San Jose, the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range for this role is $208,500.00- $312,500.00/ annually
