Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled NDT Level II Penetrant Technician to join our team in Burbank, United States. As a critical member of our quality assurance department, you will be entrusted with the crucial responsibility of performing non-destructive testing on tube and duct assemblies and detailed components using advanced techniques such as fluorescent penetrant inspection (FPI).

  • Meticulously set up and standardize equipment for non-destructive testing procedures, ensuring optimal performance and accuracy
  • Conduct rigorous fluorescent penetrant inspection (FPI) on various components with utmost precision
  • Critically interpret and evaluate test results to identify defects or errors in materials, maintaining the highest standards of quality control
  • Diligently document test results and maintain accurate records, adhering to strict documentation protocols
  • Execute system performance checks in strict accordance with industry standards and regulations
  • Provide comprehensive training and mentorship to Level I Technicians and trainees, ensuring the propagation of expertise and best practices
  • Adhere meticulously to written procedures and work instructions, recognizing their critical importance in maintaining quality and safety standards
  • Process assemblies using existing FPI procedures with unwavering attention to detail
  • Perform essential preventative maintenance on department equipment to ensure consistent, reliable operation
  • Rigorously maintain 5S and safety requirements in the work area, recognizing their paramount importance in the workplace
  • Accurately read and interpret blueprints and customer data, understanding the critical nature of this information in the testing process
  • Collaborate effectively with other departments to ensure product quality and efficiency, recognizing the interdependent nature of our operations
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience is mandatory
  • NAS 410 Level II certification in applicable test methods (or demonstrable ability to obtain) is essential
  • A minimum of three years of verifiable experience as a certified Level II in NDT methods and manufacturing processes is required
  • Demonstrated proficiency in fluorescent penetrant inspection (FPI) techniques is crucial
  • Extensive familiarity with inspection tools such as microscopes, loupes, blacklights, and pin gauges is necessary
  • Comprehensive understanding of relevant product manufacturing and inspection technology is imperative
  • Exceptional attention to detail and advanced analytical skills are critical
  • Proficient ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and technical documents is required
  • Advanced problem-solving and decision-making abilities are essential
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for effective collaboration
  • Demonstrated capacity to work independently and as an integral part of a team is crucial
  • Unwavering commitment to safety and quality standards is non-negotiable
  • Mandatory willingness to undergo and pass annual eye examinations per NAS 410 requirements
  • Physical capability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds is essential for this role

Annual Target Salary = $68,640.00

Monday - Friday 1st Shift 5:00am = 3:30pm
