Langley Federal Credit Union is currently hiring for a Full Time Director of the Peninsula Market, who will oversee all of our Peninsula, to include Hampton, Newport News, and Williamsburg and other towns on the Hampton Roads Peninsula.

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities:



  • Develops the strategic direction for sales and service to expand loan and share balances of the credit union within the context of its overall strategic objectives in collaboration with senior management.
  • Builds an annual sales and service plan to accomplish budgeted objectives dictated in the yearly business plan and budget.
  • Assists member-facing employees in accomplishing their budgeted goals and objectives.
  • Recruits, trains, and retains a well-qualified sales and service staff. Works directly with member-facing to ensure they are competent in consultative selling.
  • Serves as the primary liaison between senior management and front-line managers.
  • Analyzes market areas to target specific products consistent with the credit union's business and strategic plan. Researches and keeps well-informed about competitors' products, pricing, and promotions.
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of all credit union products and services.
  • Reviews and analyzes results, forecasts, and growth trends. Provides recommendations to senior management for course corrections to ensure annual budgeted objectives are achieved.
  • Directs the efforts of member service representatives within the branch system to ensure maximum effectiveness in reaching the credit union's goals and objectives by maximizing member relationships.
  • Creates an atmosphere conducive to generating "engaged employees" committed to the sales process, values, and internal service quality.
  • Ensures all marketing materials and communications for the credit union are distributed to all member-facing employees promptly.
  • Works with the Marketing department and senior management to develop new products and promotions.
  • Represents credit union at trade events, community activities, and social and business events.
  • Keeps abreast of regulation changes and compliance issues, particularly related to lending and the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA.) Provides input for policy and procedure changes.



Qualifications:



  • A bachelor's degree in a related field, four years of experience in a financial institution, sales or service experience advising customers when choosing between options, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • Four years of financial institution experience is required.
  • Seven years of supervisory experience required.
