Bioinformatics Scientist - Spatial Transcriptomics/RNA Seq

Dr. Yan Hu's lab is seeking a bioinformatics scientist with strong single cell RNA-seq and Visium HD expertise to analyze single-cell and spatial transcriptomics data, support lab training, and advance lung regeneration research. Dr. Hu seeks to advance our understanding of lung epithelial progenitor cell function and develop innovative strategies to enhance lung tissue repair.

Essential Functions:

• Analyzes biological data to identify patterns and trends.
• Develops algorithms and computational tools for biological data analysis.
• Collaborates with biologists and other researchers to interpret results.
• Maintains and updates databases of biological information.
• Conducts statistical analyses to draw conclusions from data.
• Stays current with advancements in bioinformatics research and technology.

Education Requirement:

• Master's Degree, in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, Biology or related field with 5 years of relevant experience, required.
• PhD, preferred.
