Position Summary

The Negotiator, Activation is responsible for negotiating, activation and maintaining general market/direct response national video and radio budgets on behalf of our clients. Negotiators works collaboratively with client strategy, finance, media partners, partner agencies and clients. The position requires a strong aptitude for buying and the aptitude to multitask and build relationship internally and externally.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain media partner relationships, negotiate pricing that reflects clients' objectives and efficiencies
  • Manage stewardships of media buys
  • Run research reports to analyzing data and track media results
  • Ensure buying guidelines are met
  • Reconcile discrepancies and monitor monthly deadlines
  • Train, mentor and oversee the Assistant Negotiator
  • Provide POV's on advertising/media trends and publish recaps
  • Assist in managing added value execution, including solicitation from vendors, analysis of value



Required Skills & Experience

  • Solid negotiating skills and experience collaborating with Strategy/Planning teams
  • Proven problem-solving ability
  • Able to work as part of a team in a deadline-driven, high-pressure environment
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills and multi-tasking capabilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word
  • Knowledgeable in media math
  • Proficient with MBox or equivalent Inventory Management system
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Energetic self-starter with a strong work ethic and integrity as well as positive interpersonal skills

The salary range for this position is posted below. Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position, market considerations, budgetary considerations, tenure and standing with the Company (applicable to current employees), as well as the employee's/applicant's skill set, level of experience, and qualifications.
