The Senior Clerkin the Dental Clinic will be able to prioritize assignments and office functions to insure effective clerical procedures. Ability to effectively multi-task - Check-in/ Check-out functions, answering phone calls, managing multiple provider schedules, handling customer service inquiries., schedule and confirm appointments for multiple dental specialties, verify patient eligibility, review and correct check-in errors in EMR work queues, support pre-determinations and collect outstanding account balances including but not limited co-payments, deductibles, co-insurance and other applicable balances Requirements High school or GED Required One year of clerical experience working in a clerical capacity within a dental clinic or hospital setting. Experience verifying dental and medical insurance Knowledge of dental terminology (CDT) and medical terminology (CPT) preferred. Bilingual Spanish Preferred Requires Flexibility to provide coverage at other sites as needed Montefiore Medical Center is an equal employment opportunity employer.
