Your Job

Georgia-Pacific (GP) is seeking a motivated and inquisitive UX (User Experience) Designer to join our team. The UX Designer will be based out of our Collaboration and Support Center (CSC).

The Collaboration and Support Center (CSC) team partners with our operating facilities by providing collaboration and support across multi-disciplines of expertise (GP and Vendors) to achieve scalable problem solving across manufacturing sites and businesses. The team uses the best available technology with an enterprise-wide approach. This role will focus on designing innovative ways to communicate insights to the CSC and its partners.


What You Will Do

  • Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers and engineers
  • Conduct user research, interviews, and usability testing to inform design decisions
  • Create user personas, journey maps, and storyboards to visualize user interactions
  • Design graphic user interface elements such as menus, tabs, buttons, and widgets
  • Develop wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes that illustrate functionality and aesthetics
  • Build page navigation structures and ensure intuitive user flows
  • Translate complex requirements into elegant, user-centered design solutions
  • Present design concepts and prototypes to internal teams and stakeholders
  • Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g., responsiveness, accessibility)
  • Iterate on designs based on user feedback and usability test results
  • Develop and maintain consistent style across apps, including fonts, colors, and imagery
  • Stay current with UI/UX trends, tools, and best practices to continuously improve design quality
  • Collaborate closely with developers to ensure accurate implementation of designs
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of design systems and style guides

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Practical experience with Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD or similar
  • Experience working with web and mobile platforms
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including fluency in English
  • 3+ years of experience in UI/UX design, interaction design, or related field

  • Ability to understand business goals and metrics
  • Problem solving skills to overcome interface challenges
  • Project management experience with ability to effectively prioritize work
  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS and JavaScript
  • Experience leveraging AI to assist with design process
