What You Will Do to Change Lives

At Gateway to Recovery, we know that mental health care works best when it's built on a foundation of stable housing. As our Housing Specialist, you are the navigator who helps adults and Transitional Aged Youth (TAY) move from long-term care or housing instability into their own community spaces. You're not just managing a case; you're helping someone reclaim their independence and their life.




  • The Housing Expert: You'll provide primary support for individuals with mental illness and co-occurring disorders, focusing specifically on securing and maintaining safe, independent housing.



  • Community Integration: You'll meet members where they are-using your vehicle or a company car to drive them to appointments, housing viewings, and community groups.



  • Empowerment through Advocacy: Under direct supervision, you'll help members navigate the hurdles of independent living, ensuring they have the tools to stay housed and healthy.



  • ACT Team Collaborator: As part of our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team, you'll work with a multidisciplinary group of professionals to support a community of 220 members.




Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8:00am to 4:30pm | Full-Time

Expected starting wage range is $21.50 - $26.25. Telecare applies geographic differentials to its pay ranges. The pay range assigned to this role will be based on the geographic location from which the role is performed. Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements.

What You Bring to the Table (Must Have)



  • High School Graduation or G.E.D. equivalent and three (3) years of direct services in mental health or community services; OR Associate's degree and two (2) years of experience; OR Bachelor's degree in Social Services
  • Must possess at least 1 year of direct service experience providing assistance as a Housing Specialist
  • Valid and current driver's license, and personal vehicle insurance with your name listed as a driver.
  • Willingness to use your personal vehicle to attend meetings, drive clients to appointments and groups, etc.
  • Willingness to use the company vehicle to drive clients to appointments and groups, etc.
