Overview

About the LE3 Program

The Learn and Earn in 3 (LE3) program is an innovative undergraduate model designed for full-time working adults pursuing a bachelor's degree while advancing in their careers. LE3 combines academic learning, professional growth, and leadership development through flexible, high-touch, and personalized experiences. Each student is supported by a RISE Coach, who serves as a guide and thought partner throughout the journey.

Position Overview

The LE3 program at National Louis University is seeking a mission-aligned RISE (Resilience, Initiative, Skills, Empowerment) Coach to provide holistic, relationship-based coaching to working adult students. This is not a traditional advising role. It's a human-centered, proactive coaching model that supports students' academic, professional, and personal development. RISE Coaches walk alongside students to help them build resilience, strengthen leadership skills, and reach their goals while balancing work, school, and life responsibilities. This position is fully remote; however, there may be opportunities for in-person meetings, training, or events based on program needs.

Time Commitment
~20 hours/week, including 1:1 meetings with students, data entry and tracking, and bi-weekly coach huddle meetings.
  • Caseloads and assignments may vary based on program needs.
  • Will require evening, weekend, or non-standard hours

Essential Responsibilities

Coaching & Student Support

  • Serve as a thought partner, accountability partner, and life navigator for a caseload of working adult students.
  • Use the GRoW Coaching Model (training provided) to help students articulate goals, overcome barriers, and take meaningful action toward personal and professional growth.
  • Provide proactive, high-touch coaching by initiating consistent, caring outreach and maintaining ongoing communication.
  • Address the whole student experience, supporting academic progress, career growth, wellbeing, and identity development.
  • Build trust through authentic connection and appropriate self-disclosure that models resilience and growth.

Collaboration & Data Tracking

  • Track student engagement, progress, and outcomes using technology-enabled systems.
  • Collaborate with instructors, administrators, and fellow coaches to ensure a seamless and supportive student journey.
  • Participate in bi-weekly coach huddle meetings to enhance coaching effectiveness.
  • Other duties as assigned.

    • Strong ability to manage multiple student relationships with timely follow-ups and documentation.
    • Proficiency in coaching documentation systems, student information systems (SIS), or CRM platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to support student growth through structured coaching conversations, including goal-setting and accountability frameworks.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with intrusive advising, academic coaching, or similar frameworks.
  • Lived or professional experience navigating nontraditional education or career pathways.
  • Comfort with virtual coaching platforms, video conferencing tools, and data tracking systems.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to both motivate and challenge students supportively.
