The Event Service Specialist (ESS) provides exceptional client/guest experiences by delivering superior customer service for on-site operations. Responsible for the execution of events onsite.
35% - Acts as Meeting Host primary contact onsite at each event. Works hand in hand with service partners who support and ensure appropriate execution and service delivery in each area - catering, audio/ video production, security, transportation. Day-of event support includes being on-call and/or onsite during events, running product demos (or training a qualified person to do so), and event documentation (surveys, photos, etc.). 35% - May conduct staff meetings, event space walk-thoughs, and briefings. Assists in problem solving and providing additional staff when needed. Confirms crisis management communication plan is in place and implements crisis management procedures, as needed. Manages all onsite logistics within assigned areas of focus: airport & transportation, registration, rooms, hospitality desk, food & beverage, activities, business meetings, technology and executive/VIP handling. Provides guidance and is consultative to clients and guests. 30% - Acts as liaison to client for onsite event logistics.Debriefs with event team regularly to ensure all parties are in agreement and informed of event logistical changes.Ensures all parties are kept informed and knowledgeable around expectations, onsite changes to deliverables and current scope. Collaborates with teams to define solutions ensuring the best event experiences for clients and guests. Qualifications 1.Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required. 2.Minimum 2 years of work experience in the meeting/event or related industry required. 3.Experience leading a team preferred. 4.Aptitude to learn new technology solutions and work with multiple systems required. 5.Ability to thrive in an agile, continuously changing environment. 6.Professional communication, teamwork and leadership skills. 7.Excellent computer skills, knowledge of G Suite products, Microsoft Office tools & ability to learn new technology quickly. 8.Must be able to handle physical demands of the position which may include but are not limited to: extensive standing, lifting, etc. Salary Range: $55,000 - $65,000 per year Disclaimer This job description is designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by associates within this classification.It is not designed to confirm or be interpreted as a comprehensive summary of all duties, responsibilities and qualifications required of associates assigned to this job.
