Business Intelligence Developer

The Business Intelligence Developer will report to, and work closely with other developers across multiple projects to help create custom and complex reports, dashboards and other visualizations using Jaspersoft Business Intelligence Software. The primary responsibility of the Business Intelligence Developer will be to support the vision of the Company's KAPS application by designing, developing, and troubleshooting business intelligence reports. This is a remote position with the option to work in any of Kelmar's offices including Rockland, MA; Wakefield, MA; or Wilmington, DE.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Develop complex reports using Jaspersoft
  • Analyze existing SQL queries for performance improvements and suggest new queries
  • Develop, implement, and optimize stored procedures and functions using T-SQL
  • Design and develop dashboards and other visualizations
  • Trouble shoot data issues and validate result sets
  • Ensure reports are of the highest quality
  • Ability to prioritize requests
  • Work within the Agile methodology
  • Recommend process enhancements
  • Participate in design and code reviews following industry best practices

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1 to 3+ years of previous experience in Jaspersoft, Crystal Reports, Microsoft Reporting Services, or other Business Intelligence Reporting software. Jaspersoft is the current software used to write reports for the application but a previous history using this software is not necessary if other tools have been used.
  • Knowledge working with relational databases (Microsoft SQL Server preferred)
  • Experience writing HTML and XML preferred
  • Experience with code review processes and best practices
  • Hands-on experience with source control systems, particularly Git
  • Ability to analyze and interpret client requests
  • Must possess a high level of organization and be able to multi-task and prioritize work assignments effectively
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
  • Occasional travel required - 10% of time
  • Willing to work off-hours and weekends as needed
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S without sponsorship now and in the future

SALARY & BENEFITS:
Compensation for this role varies depending on several factors including work location, level of experience, and skill set. As required by applicable law, the hiring range for this position is $80,000 - $100,000.
