Desktop Support Technician We are seeking a Desktop Support Technician to join our Field Services team in the Louisville area. This role involves providing both on-site and remote technical support to end users across various departments and agencies. You'll be part of a collaborative team dedicated to delivering reliable IT support in a dynamic environment. Position Overview: * Provide deskside and remote support for end-user devices, including desktops, laptops, and peripherals. * Troubleshoot hardware and software issues in a Windows-based environment. * Assist with installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer equipment. * Interface directly with users, offering clear communication and excellent customer service. * Maintain accurate documentation of support activities and escalate issues when necessary. Key Qualifications: * 1-2 years of experience in desktop support or a related IT role. * Strong customer service and communication skills. * Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues independently and under pressure. * Familiarity with basic networking concepts and troubleshooting. * Experience with ticketing systems and remote support tools is a plus. * Must have a valid driver's license and be able to lift and carry equipment as needed. Preferred Attributes: * Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to collaborate and ask for help. * Reliable attendance and punctuality. * IT education or certifications are beneficial, especially when paired with strong interpersonal skills.
