Master Machinist (CRO)

Description

What you will do:

Manufacture and repair aircraft parts using CNC and conventional milling machines, lathes and other standard machine shop equipment from engineering drawings. Draw and program parts using CAD/CAM software. Quote parts. Operate CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) arm. Provides technical guidance and assistance to other skill groups as required. Other duties as assigned.

What you need:



  • High school diploma OR GED
  • Ability to perform set-ups and operate machine tools
  • Graduate of a Certified Machine Trades program and 5 yrs experience setting up and operating CNC vertical mills and advanced programming skills and machining skills OR 10 years of stated experience
  • Ability to read and work from blueprints, drawings and to inspect parts, using precision measuring equipment
  • 3 yrs experience operating CAD/CAM software program.
  • 2 yrs experience using a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM)
  • Ability to use inspection equipment
  • Proficiency In the use of the following software & machinery: Mastercam CAD/CAM , FARO CMM arm, Polyworks 3D Metrology, Microsoft Excel and Word product.
  • Basic understanding of FAA regulations pertaining to FAR Parts 121 and 145 and AS9100, ISO9000 and related publications for position
  • Must provide tools as required
  • Working knowledge of process improvement methodology and application
