Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Research Project Assistant for the Department of Nursing Science within the School of Nursing.

Among the key duties of the position are the following:

  • Assists in the design and implementation of research studies.
  • Conducts literature reviews to gather relevant information and summarize findings.
  • Collects, analyzes, and interprets data using statistical software.
  • Prepares reports and presentations based on research findings.
  • Maintains organized records of research activities and results.
  • Collaborates with team members and contribute to project discussions.
  • Supports administrative tasks related to research projects, including scheduling, budgeting, and grant applications.

Qualifications






Minimum Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., psychology, biology, social sciences, etc.) or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.


Certifications/Licenses
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of experience and proficiency in data analysis software R, Excel, REDCap, Qualtrics, and others.
  • Previous experience in a research setting.
  • Familiarity with qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
  • Knowledge of specific research topics relevant to diabetes study projects.

  • CITI Training for human subjects and good clinical practice.

Equipment Utilized
  • R, Microsoft Teams, Zotero, Excel, REDCap, Qualtrics, Microsoft PowerPoint, Zoom.
Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Ability to lift 15-20 lbs.
  • Ability to travel to participant meeting sites and study clinic sites.
  • Ability to work in-person and remotely.
