Position Purpose:

The R&D Sensory Intern at Lindt USA will support both internal and external sensory initiatives. This role offers hands-on experience in a sensory lab and involves assisting with external consumer research. The intern will work closely with the R&D team, as well as the Quality and Marketing departments.

What To Expect as a Lindtern:

Our twelve-week Lindternship program offers hands-on experience allowing undergraduate and graduate students to gain practical skills and contribute to projects that directly impact our business. During the summer, interns will be paired with a mentor, attend professional career development workshops/sessions and attend networking events to meet additional team members.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:



  • Support daily sensory lab functions, including test staging and maintaining an orderly lab environment
  • Work closely with Sensory Scientist in sensory analysis of data to deliver results
  • Assist with internal sensory training initiatives
  • Support external consumer testing
  • Assist with active panel maintenance using sensory software



Qualifications & Requirements:

Experience:



  • Prior internship and/or project focused process and results oriented positions
  • Demonstrated proficiency with a computer and with MS software



Skills & Knowledge:



  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and assignments effectively
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with a variety of people
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Proficient in MS office



Education:



  • Be a Junior or Senior enrolled in an accredited University Degree Program - Preferably with a focus in Food Science or a related field
