Position Purpose:

The Quality Assurance Intern will support the ongoing projects of the Quality and Food Safety team at Lindt while working on project management, data and trend analysis, report and procedure writing as well as validation and verification activities. In addition, this candidate will be responsible for one or two key projects related to quality or food safety improvements.

This is an onsite role that requires five days per week in our Stratham, NH corporate office.

What To Expect as a Lindtern:

Our twelve-week Lindternship program offers hands-on experience allowing undergraduate and graduate students to gain practical skills and contribute to projects that directly impact our business. During the summer, interns will be paired with a mentor, attend professional career development workshops/sessions and attend networking events to meet additional team members.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:



  • Coordinate and execute an improvement project in quality and/or food safety.
  • Support the validation and verification activities of new equipment and new processes.
  • Assist in the review and improvement of the master sanitation program.
  • Support the Food Safety team with FSMA compliance and third party audit preparation.
  • Update and author new or existing food safety documents and procedures.
  • Assist in the review and organization of compliance documentation.
  • Support the Quality Assurance team with daily activities such as sensory panels



Qualifications & Requirements:

Skills & Knowledge:



  • General knowledge of Food Safety, Quality control, GMP, HACCP
  • Knowledge of Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) standards a plus.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Detail oriented
  • Understanding of analytical testing, sensory methods, food microbiology
  • Proficient in Microsoft office
  • Previous co-op/intern experience in food industry,
  • QA/Food Safety and/or laboratory environment, preferred


Education:



  • Current Junior Undergraduate students pursuing a degree in food science - Preferred
  • Experience in sanitation for food safety a plus.
  • Formal training in sensory evaluation a plus.
