Head North America Procurement

* Advocate for region in alignment with global Category Managers, focus on continuous development and identify potential opportunities.
* Ensure respective region is aligned with procurement strategy and category strategies in terms of consistency with the overall corporate strategy.
* Consolidate and review the spend for respective region.
* Collect local specifications and requirements for subcategory development throughout the region.
* Support implementation of the procurement strategy under the consideration of region specifics.
* Provide functional guidance to regional procurement team.
* Review and evaluate sourcing needs across respective categories.
* Collaborate with the global Category Manager and support the supplier selection and manage contracts and negotiations for the region.
* Assess and monitor the defined budget with Head of Global Procurement.
* Identify shortcomings and suggest improvements within region to existing processes, organization and governance.
* Conduct regular cross-region alignment meetings (e.g., hot topics, escalations, ...)

• Master's degree
• Working knowledge of SAP and of the most common procurement tools
• Minimum 7 years relevant work experience in procurement field
