GALLO is seeking a dynamic Area Sales Director to drive the success of our Malt, RTD, and Total Alcohol Beverage innovation portfolio. In this role, you'll be responsible for planning, implementing, and executing GALLO's annual sales plan for our malt portfolio while delivering revenue and sales contribution goals. You will lead a team of talented Business Development Managers and Market Development Managers, inspiring them through coaching, training, and development to achieve their full potential. Your ability to foster strong partnerships with distributor leadership will drive the execution of pricing plans, programming, and innovative initiatives that maximize our market presence.

You'll monitor performance, identify growth opportunities, and develop strategies to optimize resource allocation. What You'll Need

• Bachelor's degree plus 8 years of Gallo winery sales or distributor sales management experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Bachelor's degree plus 10 years of CPG sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High School diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 12 years of Gallo winery sales or distributor sales management experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
• Supervisory/managerial experience to include ability to provide motivational guidance and direction.
• Sales leadership experience within the Malt or RTD category.
• Ability to influence all levels of the organization.
• Required to see, smell and taste wine, spirits and malt products as part of job duties.
• Required to travel by air and car up to 40% of the time as part of job duties.
• Candidate is required to have a valid driver's license, a safe driving record and reliable vehicle (if applicable) at the time of hire. This position will undergo a motor vehicle check (MVR) to confirm a history of safe and responsible driving. If needed, candidate must obtain the appropriate state driver's license based on the position's location within 30 days of hire.
• Required to obtain Liquor License as required by state/locality.
• Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
• Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

How You'll Stand Out

• Bachelor's degree plus 10 years of Gallo winery sales or distributor sales experience to include a prior director level rotation within Gallo winery sales reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Master's degree plus 8 years of Gallo winery sales or distributor sales experience to include a prior director level rotation within Gallo winery sales reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
• Knowledge of assigned market.
• Experience working in both distributor and supplier side.
• Level 1, 2, 3 or 4 Cicerone Certification(s).
• WSET or CSW Certification(s).
