Job Details:
Mercer University's Georgia Baptist College of Nursing seeks applications for a non-tenure track, full-time, 12-month, lecturer position. The Lecturer will teach in the second-degree accelerated BSN track.

Responsibilities:

Mercer University's College of Nursing invites applications for a full-time, 12-month non-tenure track lecturer position. Candidates with expertise in the areas of Adult Health, Mental Health, Women's Health, or Pediatrics are sought to teach our highly qualified student body. Teaching responsibilities will be exclusively in the second degree accelerated BSN program with a percentage of time allocated for service. The successful candidate will have on-campus faculty responsibilities.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:
  • Master's in nursing from an accredited university/college
  • Unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Georgia
  • A minimum of two years full-time academic experience (five years preferred)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Philosophy commensurate with Mercer University's mission and values


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Teaching experience in the online academic environment
  • Practice experience in the specialty areas of psychiatric mental health and/or women's health
  • Familiarity with CCNE accreditation standards


Background Check:

Selection of final candidate is contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check

Pay Rate:

Commensurate with experience
