We are seeking an experienced Environmental Manager - Remediation, who will manage EQT's large scale remediation projects, stray gas investigations and water supply complaints. These projects include spill response, site investigation, remediation, agency interaction and project closure. The Environmental Manager - Remediation leads a team of Geologic Specialists and manages the project budgets associated with remediation strategies.

The Manager Environmental - Remediation responsibilities include but are not limited to:



  • Serve as a Technical Expert that manages and provides direction on complex and high-profile issues including large volume environmental remediation projects.
  • Conducts on-site investigations and leads development of release cleanup strategies.
  • Manage consultants and remediation response personnel from initial release through closure.
  • Oversees Phase 1 Environmental Site Assessments for mergers and acquisitions.
  • Leads stray gas investigations and manages water supply complaints.
  • Oversee multiple projects and their associated budgets.
  • Interacts with and serve as a liaison with federal, state and local agencies to efficiently and effectively manage remediation projects to closure.
  • Provide expert testimony, when needed.



Required Experience and Skills:



  • Bachelor's degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, Natural Resources, or related discipline.
  • At least 15 years of environmental remediation experience.
  • Ability to interpret regulations and technical guidance documents
  • Emergency and spill response experience.
  • Solid project management and technical writing skills.
  • Knowledge of sample collection, preservation, chain of custody protocols.
  • Ability to evaluate analytical data sets for anomalies; strong geochemical and analytical methodology understanding.



Preferred Experience and Skills:



  • Remediation experience in the Appalachian Basin specifically Pennsylvania Land Recycling Act (Act 2) requirements, West Virginia Voluntary Cleanup Program and Ohio Voluntary Action Programs.
  • Licensed Professional Geologist or Hydrogeologist, CHMM or other related certifications preferred.



Work Location:



  • This will be a remote role, with regular site visits required across EQT's operating area.


Selected incumbent will be placed into the position that best suits their abilities and experience level.
