Job Description

The Fab Tech uses hand, pneumatic and hydraulic tools to fabricate aerospace parts.

What will my responsibilities include?

  • Uses hammers, saws and grinders to cut, form, bend, and straighten metal to meet customer specifications.
  • Uses shrinker/stretcher to form parts into tolerance.
  • Runs arbor press, stretch form, router, shear, brake press, and hot joggle after set up has been completed.
  • Performs work instructions assisted set up procedures where required.
  • Thoroughly inspects first part run.
  • Runs parts after job has been bought.
  • Meets job standard times.
  • Recognizes production problems.
  • Increases skills in making minor adjustments to keep parts in tolerance.
  • Verifies conformance of finished workpiece to specifications using standard measuring tools.
  • Reads and interprets manufacturing drawings.
  • Follows all safety guidelines established by the Company, including proper use of safety equipment and relevant safety procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What key skills and experience do I need?

  • Demonstrates a good attitude toward work and arrives on time for start of shift
  • Properly uses basic measuring tools (calipers, protractor, etc.)
  • Properly uses hand working tools (hammers, squares, scales, etc.)
  • Follows instructions and demonstrates strong attention to detail
  • Communicates well verbally and in writing
  • Mechanically inclined, with good manual dexterity
Qualifications

Preferred:

  • Ability to perform basic functions with MS Windows-based computer operating systems, such as opening and closing files
  • Demonstrates strong skills and aptitude in math
  • One-year on-the-job experience

Salary Offering:$20.00 per hour to $25.00 per hour

Shift: M-Th, 6:00am - 4:30pm
